Continental, KLM And Northwest Join The SkyTeam Alliance
Solidifies Position as a Leading Global Alliance

NEW YORK, September 13, 2004 - Global travelers will have additional route and fare choices as SkyTeam today announced that Continental Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Northwest Airlines are now full members of one of the world's fastest growing airline alliances. The SkyTeam Governing Board also revealed that effective September 15, passengers will be able to accrue and redeem frequent flyer miles interchangeably on any of the nine member airlines. With the addition of three new members, SkyTeam now serves 341 million passengers with 14,320 daily departures to 658 global destinations in more than 130 countries.

SkyTeam Signs Agreement With China Southern Airlines
Agreement preliminary step in new member joining process

GUANGZHOU, 28 August 2004 - SkyTeam today announced that the alliance has signed an agreement with China Southern Airlines, the largest carrier in the People's Republic of China. The agreement is a preliminary step in the new member process and outlines China Southern's intentions to undertake exclusive discussions to become a part of the SkyTeam alliance, pending fulfillment of the alliance's joining requirements. The signing ceremony, which took place in Guangzhou, was attended by Mr. Yang Yuanyuan, Minister of Civil Aviation Administration of China, Mr. Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr. Zhao Xizi, Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Mr. Yan Zhiqing, Chairman of China Southern Airlines, Mr. Liu Mingqi, Vice Chairman of China Southern Airlines, as well as Mr. Yang-Ho Cho, Chairman and CEO of Korean Air and Mr. Jean-Cyril Spinetta, Chairman and CEO of Air France as representatives of SkyTeam member airlines.

SkyTeam Governing Board Discusses Alliance Growth
On eve of fourth anniversary, CEOs anticipate expanded benefits for travelers in Asia with the addition of Continental Airlines, KLM and Northwest Airlines

SEOUL, June 10, 2004 - At their meeting today in Seoul, the SkyTeam Governing Board officially welcomed applications for membership from Continental Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Northwest Airlines, fulfilling the original request for membership made by KLM in September 2003 when its merger with Air France was announced. The Governing Board members discussed the benefits the nine-member alliance will bring to passengers traveling to and from Asia. Together, the three pending members will add more than 120 new global destinations, more than 110 new lounges and more than 5,500 new daily departures for customers traveling throughout the world. In Asia, the alliance will expand its network in the region to nine new destinations.

MOSCOW, 24 May 2004 - SkyTeam today announced that the alliance has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aeroflot. The MOU is a preliminary step in the new member process and outlines Aeroflot's intentions to undertake exclusive discussions to become a part of SkyTeam, pending fulfillment of the alliance's joining requirements. The signing ceremony, which took place at the Kremlin, was attended by Valery Okulov, president of Aeroflot, Jean-Cyril Spinetta, chairman and CEO of Air France KLM, Leo van Wijk, president and CEO of KLM and representatives of SkyTeam member airlines.

SkyTeam Governing Board Applauds European Commission and U.S. Department Of Justice Approvals of Air France–KLM Merger

NEW YORK, February 12, 2004 - The SkyTeam Governing Board today expressed their satisfaction with the European Commission and United States Department of Justice decisions to approve a merger between Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. With the two regulatory bodies' approvals, KLM and Air France will form a new group, which will lead to KLM entering SkyTeam.

SkyTeam Steering Committee Welcomes Aeroflot’s Bid for Membership

NEW YORK, January 29, 2004 - During their quarterly meeting today, the SkyTeam Steering Committee confirmed their decision to welcome Aeroflot's bid for membership in the alliance. SkyTeam constantly considers prospective members that can offer customers greater convenience and extend the alliance's global network.
